About the club

Brief description

Dudhope Bowling Club, established in 1876 at Adelaide Place in Dundee, Scotland.

Situated on the south facing slope of Dundee Law there are views to the south looking over the city and Firth of Tay to Fife.

The club has a green with six rinks surrounded by well maintained gardens.

Over the years the clubhouse has had a number of alterations and extensions and now provides ample room for functions in our lounge for up to 90 persons.

There is a membership of 89 gents and 42 ladies. The club is open to members from age 16 as well as some younger players in the junior section.

Dudhope is affiliated to the following bowling associations, Bowls Scotland, Angus BA, City of Dundee BA, Dundee & District Wednesday Association and the Three Counties. Our members participate in the many competitions organised by these associations.

Our ladies and gents also compete in our own club competitions.

As well as competitive games there are a number of friendly games available to take part in. The gents participate in Wednesday and Saturday games throughout the season visiting other clubs and we give a warm welcome to the clubs visiting our green.
